Equating Napoleonic France with the Warsaw Pact/Eastern Block is ludicrous in the extreme. Politics, the rule of law, the law itself, were completely different. The eastern bloc was ruled basically by decree, and, by the plentiful evidence that has been brought out on this and other forums, Napoleon ruled by the rule of law. Further, he didn't have to fortify the Empire's borders to keep his own people in. I suggest you might want to study the subject before such an 'interesting' and sweeping comparison is made.
