The wool belonged to various flock owners around Burgos; the fact is mentioned on page 426 of Oman Vol I. He quotes the 6th Bulletin of the Army of Spain, of 14 Dec 1808, Jourdan`s memoirs, pp 85, 86 and Arteche, Vol III, P325. Just what did N do to Bourienne, who made millions in Hamburg, selling permits to trade in banned British goods?
Requisition? GOOD ONE! Why didn`t I think of that?? Of COURSE that`s not stealing!
Presumably Junot REQUSITIONED all those priceless books?
