Founier-Sarlovèze - monument at Sarlat

To all Forum Companions

In Sarlat-la-Caneda, the home town of François Réséda Fournier - "El Demonio", and also a very beautiful medieval town in the south-west of France, not so far from the place where Murat was born, a monument was created in 1859 recalling this famous general.
Unfortunately I omitted to visit this town the last time I passed in that region (last year in September) and don't have a picture of it, having passed to much time that day in the Murat museum. So any help for this is very welcome.
But what me has stroked is the following - on the monument is engraved on the south face that Fournier has created by testament (will) an annual dotation of 1.500 French francs to the 3 oldest cavalry of the French army.
As I'm very interested in this general, I'm wondering how long this dotation has subsisted and who were the first beneficiairies.

Best regards

Marc
