Napoleon Series Archive 2003

Vic,
A lot would depend on what your interests are, military, political, personal, diplomatic, one attraction of the period is that there are so many angles to it.

Ten books would never be enough though, if you read one author you will always need to read at least one more to get a balanced view, and you would still need to check up on the primary sources.
If I had to recommend one book it would be Pieter Geyl's 'Napoleon, for and Against' which discusses the different versions of Napoleon produced by French historians.

Try the book review section on this site for suggestions.
