What may be interesting is any modern data on I.Q. & generalship.
That is; the correlation between the ability to win battles/wage war & whatever it is an I.Q. test tests.
I suspect there isn't a clear connection (after all, St.Cyr & Murat were both successful generals but don't tell me there's less than a 100 point gap between 'em).
If anyone has this data, it would have to be the test-mad American military.
BTW I seem to remember Muhammid Ali 'failed' the I.Q. test given in his military induction.
