I've been reading regimental history of 3rd Hussars (Dupuy R. Historique du 3 regiment de hussards de 1764 a 1887.), and on some page dealing with 1807 they cite "memoires du general Auguste Colbert, t.IV, p.240.". Unfortunately, no more details of the quoted source were given.
I wonder if this general really managed to leave us his memoires. As far as I understand he served rather actively untill was killed in Spain and hardly had had time to write memoires. May be it's more of diary than memoires? Has anybody read such material or heard about it?
Thank you in advance,
