During this holiday I found some time to catch up on reading some Napoleonic books....
During the siege of the fortress town Gorinchem (Netherlands) november 1813-february 1814, General Rampon was in command there.
After a couple of months the fortress surrendered to the Allied Forces. Rampon was made prisoner of war (with his officers and soldiers of course) and was send to Bentheim in Germany.
Now I am very curious to know what happened to him after that ? How long was he kept prisoner ? When did he return to France and how did he spend the rest of his life ?
