Höpfner's Beilage G. from "Der Krieg von 1806 und 1807" has as part of Mortier's 1st Division the "Garde von Paris." Persumably about the time of Danzig's capture (26 May 07). Similarly, the Otto Manuscripts in Dempsey's book show some beautiful illustrations of the Paris Guards, circa 1807 in Germany.
Contrary-wise multiple OOB's from April through June make no mention of this unit, speaking only of the 4th Light, 15th and 58th Line Regts. and a lot of allies (Italians, Poles, Wurttembergers, Cleve-Berg, Saxons, etc.) Any idea why?
