Several of Nap's marshals are well-known for becomming too attached to their comforts and prestige - this may in part be due to combat fatigue, being thoroughly sickened and weary of war. In Spain Massena seemed to have lost his desire for combat, he appears to have been fed-up with war - possibly a sign of combat fatigue.
