This is your respectable opinion. I never read any Austrian source which told it and I think FML Sebottendorf could have disagreed with you.
At least the battle at Lodi was really not so important, but the large Lodi's Maneuver with the Po crossing and the collapse of the Italienisches Armée won the campaign without utter bloody affairs ... a fact which was generally very popular among soldiers.
No other ideas upon the nick sources ... I'm always searching about Attila's nick "Scourge of God" without success.
