Re: Availability of artillery pieces and materiel

I am focused on the siege of Cadiz and all the episodies who happened in the surrounding area, especially the ones at Matagorda. It is very probable that the french were using artillery from the foundry at Seville at the earliest times, but I am not sure. What I have is a declaration of Captain Archibald Maclaine telling that they were bombarded at Matagorda with 24 & 32 pounders and mortars, this is the reason I wanted to know the guns the french used to carry.

From the british side I know, again from his declarations, that they were using 24 pounders (both in the land and in the gunboats) and 16 pounders, but they were spanish guns as he declares.
