Re: Availability of artillery pieces and materiel

The Villantroys howitzers were used later, in 1811. I am focused on march-april 1810, the beginning of the siege. In a letter from Archibald Maclaine the comander at Matagorda fort, he is telling they were bombarded using 32 pounders. As I have seen there are not 32 pounders on french artillery trains, I have to suppose two options: a mistake on Maclaine or that the french were using artillery from the spanish, coming perhaps from Seville or from coastal defenses conquered by the french during february.
