Dimensions for a 3 pounder

Hi,

Can anyone give me the dimensions for a iron 3 pounder mounted on a gun carriage?

The cannon I am interested in was of Venetian origin from circa 1798 in Albania/Greece, but something roughly equivalent would do. I would like to have an approximate profile for use in a scale drawing of an artillery redoubt I am reconstructing from a battle.

I am particularly interested in the:
(a) barrel length
(b) barrel dimensions
(c) wheel diameter
(d) the distance between the two wheels (the axle length).

A previous post on the forum described 3-pdrs as "very light battalion pieces". What exactly were 3-pdrs used for? Is it unusual to find them in an artillery redoubt? (they seem quite small to be of much use for an entrenched position).

Thanks for any info!

Best Regards,

Jim
