I am at the stage of tying loose ends in the research for my forthcoming book on Villamuriel in October 1812 and I was wondering if I could get some more help from the forum. There are two key points that I want to address;
1. Historique du 66e régiment d'infanterie, 1672-1900, rédigé par le capitaine Dumay ; I have not been able to track down this potential source in any of the libraries or online. Has anyone got access to this book and would be prepared to send me copies of the pages relevant to 1812.
2. The United Service Magazine in 1851 contains an account of the action written by "McK". I have been trying to identify McK, who, given the number of times they are mentioned could have been a member of the 4th Foot, eg Lt John Kenneth Mackenzie. Does anyone have any insight on who "McK" might have been?
Thanks and best regards
