I have doubts regarding the "biscaien" (large calibre rifle) shots. I guess these samples stem from canister balls (Kartätschen). In every case it would be difficult to determine the type of ball, only the chirurgien who pulled out the ball of the body of the cuirassier resp. carabinier could help to give an answer...

Biscaiens (Wallbüchsen) were typically used in the defense of fortresses or, as far as I know, by some Tyrolean riflemen (Schützen).
