Conversely, an author should not enter into a project with an agenda and then 'research accordingly.' What should be done is to go where the research takes you. It is not only much more intellectually honest, but it is much more enlightening and educational for the author. If an agenda or 'fixed opinion' is maintained during research and writing, too much will be left out and a distorted view of the subject will be produced which helps no one and only adds to what can be considered 'bad' history,
