I'm surprised by the absence of information on colonel Koller (or Köhler) of the Hessian 4th regiment in Spain. He was apparently wounded (in the hand, as per Belmas, or in the head according to Lamare) during the defense of the castle in Badajoz and was "forced" to show the British the way into the castle.
Does anyone have more information on his life/career? His first name seems to be Ernst, as per the Staats und address handbuch der staaten des rheinischen bundes für 1811,
Thank you as always!
