Of course, I didn't recognize the reference, but yes, I have read that along with numerous other German/Prussian sources. My favorite for this topic is Lettow-Vorbeck because of the focus on French operations he gives even beyond that of the French.

Also, LV was able to see materials that have since disappeared from the Archives, which is part of our mystery.

I hope everyone would agree, regardless of one's conclusions, that the fact that so much of the events dealing with the French concentration has gone undiscussed is both amazing and disappointing.
