I really hope that you get to see it sometime. The cinematography is fantastic. As Roberts discusses Brumaire, for example, he actually wanders around a misty, foggy Paris. I think attention to detail like that demonstrates the quality of the production. Andrew Roberts is very prone to overstate his case. But, only the first programme has been broadcast. Before any discussion takes place I think all three sections must be viewed. Personally, I feel Napoleon can always be condemned for never acquiring wisdom. It will be interesting to see how Roberts who admits to having been an ardent fan since the age of ten deals with this aspect of the life of his hero.
Finally, I must comment on the remarkable physical similarity between Roberts and Napoleon. They could be brothers. Weird.
