I have a copy of this text somewhere as a high-quality PDF... I'll see if I can upload and post accordingly.
Not to be confused with the memoir by Christian Niemeyer, the head of the Uni. of Halle at the same time.
The fall of Kassel to the allies in 1813 is covered by several other accounts, but A. von Niemeyer's text is the only really comprehensive account of the brief return of the French and the subsequent punishments of the citizens who had cheered for or assisted the allied liberation. It's a fascinating insight into a troubled and chaotic period. I recommend it highly.
