Perhaps you could provide a list of how many cases were brought before each tribunal, the findings and the sums recovered / sentences handed down?
I am sure all states had organizations whose task it was to ensure that the sovereign`s money was well spent and not stolen. That is fairly logical.
I have no doubt that there were warts on many other establishments at this time - and still are today. It is just the constant crowing that all was sweetness and light under N that sometimes gets to be a little boring.
