I only have Ulyanov & Parkhayev for post 1825 stuff. The profile does match their 1843 pattern illustration. But I believe the 3-flamed grenade badge had disappeared by then. Of course, there may be some sophistication going on.
Still Leonov, Popov, & Kibovsky claim the arched sides are a feature of the 1808 Leib-garde model, and the lilt of the top is intriguing even if it is a later model. I've never seen mention of it in any context other than 1812-14.
