Didn't mean to ignore you kind offer; just now saw it.
I have little problem with modern German. Where the nightmare is with circa 1800 text..especially circa 1800 Austrian texts. After years of working on it, I can usually muddle through. Fortunately, there is a great German translation forum with some real experts on board. It can be fascinating when there are so many divergent views on what a particular sentence means, of course,, everything depends on context. Often, the decisive factor in a circa 1800 translation depends on an intimate knowledge of circa 1800 history. Some of the toughest is the original text of Joseph II. Besides being such an interesting character, he also freely inserted French and Latin. Finally ended up reading the latest 2 vol. book on Joseph II just to get some sort of idea of who this guy was who was so difficult to translate; and it did help.
