Re: How many rounds were fired in Austerlitz?

Surely not all guns came fully into the action and fired form first daylight to dawn?
Some mybe did not even fire at all, or only a few shoots

still maybe helpfull to compare here are some information about the Prussian army

Ein paar Beispiele:

22. reitende Batterie: Bunzlau 308, Hochkirch 255, Leipzig 433, Ligny 304, Waterloo 86
3. reitende: Großgörschen 450, Löwenberg 235, Freiburg 335, La-Chaussee 242, Paris 193
6-pdr. Batt. Nr. 2: Waterloo 819!!
6-pdr. Batt. Nr. 3: Gilly 52, Ligny 334, Issy 91
6-pdr. Batt. Nr. 38: Ligny 399
14. reitende: Ligny 1125!!
6. reitende: Dennewitz 990!!
6-pdr. Batt. Nr. 10: Ligny 108, Waterloo 75
6-pdr. Batt. Nr. 18: Ligny 481
20. reitende: Wavre 202
6-pdr. Batt. Nr. 37: Ligny 567

10. reitende: Großgörschen 985 (+ 166 Würfe)!!, Leipzig 419 (+58 Würfe), Ligny 316
18. reitende: Wavre 485

Das ist schon ziemlich ordentlich, manche Einheiten müssen während des Gefechts Munition nachgefasst haben um auf diese Zahlen zu kommen. Bei Vogel findet man noch mehr Angaben dazu.

(Angaben nach C. Jany, Die Preußische Artillerie von ihrer Reformation 1809 bis zum Jahre 1846 ...)
