Yes, they were only auxiliaries to serve regionally, mostly with the artillery at de defences along the rivers. And because of the quick unfolding events their existence was short-lived.

If there is broader interest I could compose a piece about them.

Rather interestingly, 'Landzaat' is a family name nowadays. We also until recently had a football-player with that name: Denny Landzaat.
