I am trying to get through the second volume (I have the first too) which so far, is a pretty good tome with good maps too. It's getting the time to read it that's the problem at the moment as I have had the book since the 10th November and I have been reading it in 'bits and starts'.
My only gripe so far concerns a few of the maps 'though very good' which are printed over two pages thus have the fold going through the middle. It would have been much better had they been fold-outs.
I'm on chapter 43 'The Prussian Intervention' page 201 and so far, as I remarked above, it is pretty good and I do so like the way Hussey questions what was written by past Historians of the incidents etc
I'll leave it there for now as I haven't read the book through.
