We have a few rules to govern placing a posting on the Marketplace:
Rules:
1. All accounts are moderated. No one can post
without the post
being approved in advance by the moderator.
2. Only items that are reasonably related to our area
of study are
permitted. For example, books, magazines, uniforms, miniatures, wargames,
wargame figures, etc.
3. Prohibited items include weapons of any kind,
food, and alcohol.
4. No item that is in violation of a copyright can be sold.
5. All transactions are between the buyer and the seller.
The
Napoleon Series is not involved in any transaction other than the
advertisement. Think of us as a newspaper advertisement or want ads
section.
6. The price for a posting is $20 for up to 20 items.
7. The post will be displayed for one month. After
one month it will
be deleted.
8. The poster will be able to make one change to his
posting for
free. This change can only be to delete an item. Any changes
regarding
prices or additions to the items being sold, is not permitted. The
additional posting will be deleted at the same time the original posting
is
made.
9. Definition of an item:
a. A single book, map, painting, print, magazine, individual figurine, wargame, etc.
b. Up to four books in a series. For example Oman’s Volumes I, II, III, & IV. The complete set of Oman would count as two items. The poster could list all seven volumes on the same line, but it would still count as two items.
c. Magazines: Up to ten issues. For example First Empire Magazine, Issues 31, 32, 33, 44, 45, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60
d. Wargame figures: 20 figures = 1 item
Responsibility of the Napoleon Series: The Napoleon Series does not endorse and has not verified the legitimacy of the advertisers or their ads. The Napoleon Series makes no claim as to the ownership or authenticity of the items offered by Sellers. The Napoleon Series does not assume any responsibility for contacts that may occur as a result of the ads posted here. Buyers and Sellers assume all risk and liability arising from their offer for purchase or sale of any item. The Napoleon Series reserves the right to be the final authority in determining suitability of ads and to refuse ads we deem not suitable for our website or audience. The Napoleon Series will not adjudicate disputes between Buyers and Sellers using this site.
How to Place an Advertisement:
1. You must be a registered user on the Napoleon Series Forum. If you are registered user on the Napoleon Series History Forum, you are also registered on the Napoleon Series Marketplace.
2. Make a posting by clicking on the "Post New" button.
3. Your post will automatically be placed in a moderated status until the moderator has reviewed your posting and you have paid the $20 fee.
4. Once the post has been reviewed and the fee paid, your post will be approved.
All fees will go towards paying the Napoleon Series bills.
