Answer: The logo for the War of 1812 Magazine consists of the obverse and reverse of the Upper Canada Preserved Medal issued by the Loyal and Patriotic Society of Upper Canada, which were struck during and immediately after the War of 1812 for presentation to deserving officers and soldiers; however most were destroyed in 1840.
