Captain Alexander de Roverea's Account of the Battle of Albuera

Captain Alexander de Roverea of the Sicilian Regiment served as an aide-de-camp to General Sir Lowry Cole during the battle.  Several months later, he wrote a letter to his father containing a detailed account of the battle that was eventually published in 1848 his father's memoirs.  Captain de Roverea was killed in action in 1813.
