Infantry Regiment Nr. 51

In 1806, Infantry Regiment Nr. 51 formed part of Wurttemberg’s General Reserve. It later surrendered at Ratekau [07.11.1806].

07.02.1789: Hanstein, Oberst [later Generalleutnant] Ernst-Friedrich-Karl von (1735-1802)
25.03.1803: Kauffberg, Generalmajor Friedrich-August von (1746-1808) [1]

[1] Kauffberg was awarded the ‘Pour le Merite’ in 1804.

Infantry Regiment Nr. 52

Not present at either Jena or Auerstadt, this regiment was reformed in 1808 as the 1st West Prussian Infantry Regiment.

Infantry Regiment Nr. 53

In 1806, Infantry Regiment Nr. 53 formed part of Wurttemberg’s General Reserve. It later surrendered at Ratekau [07.11.1806]. The regiment was referred to as ‘Jung-Larisch’ to differentiate it from Infantry Regiment ‘Alt-Larisch’ Nr. 26.

Infantry Regiment Nr. 54

This regiment formed part of Wurttemberg’s General Reserve. It later surrendered at Ratekau and was reformed in 1808 as the 2nd West Prussian Infantry Regiment.

In 1806, Infantry Regiment Nr. 51 formed part of Wurttemberg’s General Reserve. It later surrendered at Ratekau and was reformed as the 3rd East Prussian Infantry Regiment.

[1] Tauentzien commanded a Prussian-Saxon detachment at Jena.

Infantry Regiment Nr. 57

This regiment was formed in 1795.

1795-1806: Gravenitz, Generalmajor [later General der Infanterie] Friedrich-Wilhelm-August von (1730-1809)

Infantry Regiment Nr. 58 [2]

This regiment was formed in 1797.

1797-1806: Homme de Courbiere, Generalleutnant [later Generalfeldmarschall] Wilhelm-Rene de l’ (1733-1811) [1]

[1] l’Homme de Courbiere was awarded the ‘Pour le Merite’ in 1760.
[2] This unit has also been mistkenly-referred to as Infantry Regiment ‘Jung-Larisch’ Nr. 58 [see Infantry Regiment Nr. 53 above].

Infantry Regiment Nr. 59

This unit formed part of Oranien’s division at Auerstadt. Elements of this regiment later surrendered at Erfurt and Magdeburg.

1803-1806: Wartensleben, Generalleutnant Leopold-Alexander, Graf von (1744-1822) [1]

[1] Wartensleben commanded a division at Auerstadt.

Infantry Regiment Nr. 60

Infantry Regiment Nr. 60 was reformed in 1808 as the 1st Silesian Infantry Regiment.

1802-1806: Chlebowsky, Generalmajor Christian-Wilhelm von (1755-1807) [1]

[1] Chlebowsky was awarded the ‘Pour le Merite’ in 1793.
