The Treaty of Abo, signed the 18/30 August 1812, between Sweden and Russia allowed some of the Russian Troops protecting Finland to be moved to the South. On September 23rd Gen.-leit. Shteingel arrived in Reval with a portion of his Finnish Corps (10,032 men and 18 guns).
