- Looking SW from the south edge of Blasowitz. The Russian Imperial Guard attacked in this direction to attempt to drive Vandamme's division off the Stare Vonohrady.
- South of Blasowitz, looking W. Steeple of Blasowitz church is visible at far right. Across this field the Russian Imperial Guard watched one of the most famous cavalry charges in history bear down upon them as the French Imperial Guard cavalry, outnumbered two-to-one, thundered in to smash the Russian Garde du Corps, Chevaliers Gardes, and Guard Cossack regiments. The French Grenadiers à Cheval and the Company of Mameluks fought with particular distinction.
