By Alexander Mikaberidze, FINS

Established in 1971, the Consortium on Revolutionary Europe gradually became one of the largest and most prestigious academic conferences in the United States. With attendance averaging between 150-200 participants, the Consortium is organized annually at one of the participating universities in the U.S. It is divided into sessions dealing with cultural, diplomatic, social and military topics and each session usually includes three presentations and a commentary on them. The papers are later published in the Proceedings. For more information on the Consortium and its publications, visit the Institute on Napoleon and the French Revolution
