29th Foot 1799, Lieutenant Colonel New Brunswick Fencibles 1803, Lieutenant
Colonel 93rd Foot 1810, Brevet Colonel 1812, Major General 1814.
Service: British North America 1782-1787, West Indies 1793-1795
and Brigade Major, Ireland 1798, British North America 1803-1810,
Cape of Good Hope 1810-1814. Commanded brigade for service in
British North America 1815; however, brigade sent to Flanders instead.
Commanded 6th Brigade in Flanders & France 1815.
