Campbell, William Howe (17**- 2 January 1811)

Ensign 65th Foot 1784, Ensign 35th Foot 1787, Lieutenant 35th Foot 1791, Captain 35th Foot 1794, Major 35th Foot 1800, Lieutenant-Colonel 35th Foot 1801, Lieutenant-Colonel 31st Foot 1804, Brevet Colonel 1810.

Served in Portuguese Service 1809-1811. Promoted Colonel 1809,  Brigadier 1809. 

Early Service: ?with regiment in West Indies 1794, Helder 1799, Malta 1801-1802.

Portugal & Spain: with regiment Portugal 1808-1809.

Peninsular War: Commanded brigades of the Portuguese Army 1809-1811.  Died of illness in the Peninsula 1811.
