38th Foot 1802. Resigned army 1805. Request was made to reinstate
his rank in the army but he died before a decision was made.
Served in Portuguese Service 1809-1811. Promoted Brigadier 1809.
Early Service: Flanders 1794-1795. Helder 1799 and wounded.
Peninsular War: Commanded brigades of the Portuguese Army 1809-1811. Died
of illness in the peninsula 1811.
