Harvey, William Moundy (17**- 10 June 1813)

Also as William Maundy Harvey.

2nd Lieutenant Marine Forces* 1794, 1st Lieutenant Marine Forces* 1795, Captain 1st West India Regiment 1797, Brevet Major 1803, Major 1st West India Regiment 1805, Major 79th Foot 1806, Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel 1803, Lieutenant Colonel 79th Foot 1811, Brevet Colonel 1812.

* became Royal Marines 1802.

Served in Portuguese Service 1809-1813. Promoted Colonel 6th Infantry Regiment 1809, Brigadier 1811.

Early Service: Deputy Adjutant-General West Indies 1803.

Peninsular War: Commanded brigades of the Portuguese Army 1809-1813. Wounded Dos Portas October 1810 and at assault on Badajoz April 1812. Died of illness on passage home 1813.
