Brock, Isaac (6 October 1769 -  13 October 1812)

Son of Midshipman John Brock. Younger brother of Lieutenant Colonel  John Brock and Lieutenant Ferdinand Brock and older brother of Colonel Savery Brock.

Ensign 8th Foot 1785, Lieutenant 8th Foot 1790, Captain Independent Company 1790, Captain 49th Foot 1791, Major 49th Foot 1795,  Lieutenant Colonel 49th Foot 1797, Brevet Colonel 1805,  Brigadier General North America 1808, Major General 1811.

Service 1793-1815: West Indies 1791-1793. In the fleet at Copenhagen 1801, Helder 1799 and wounded. British North America 1802-1812, on staff 1806-1810 and as acting Lieutenant Governor and commander in Upper Canada 1811-1812. In  War of 1812, captured Fort Detroit 1812 and killed in action at Queenston Heights 1812.
