Campbell, Colin (c.1754/1756? - 2 April 1814)

Ensign 42nd Foot 1771,  Lieutenant 55th Foot 1772, Captain-Lieutenant  44th Foot 1776; Captain 44th Foot 1779; Brevet Major 1790; Brevet Lieutenant Colonel 1794;Lieutenant Colonel 81st Foot 1795, Lieutenant Colonel 6th Foot 1795, Brevet Colonel 1798, Major General 1805, Lieutenant General Gibraltar 1810, Lieutenant General 1811.

Early Service: North America 1776-1783, British North America 1786-1793.

Service 1793-1815: West Indies 1793-1796,  Ireland 1798, on staff Ireland and Home 1805-1809, Lieutenant Governor of Gibraltar 1810 and died there on 2 April 1814.

Colonel of  the 5th Garrison Battalion 1808-1812, 55th Foot 1812-1814.
