Service 1793-1815: British North America Lieutenant Governor of Quebec 1790-1793,  Cape of Good Hope 1795, Commander-in-Chief  Madras Presidency India 1795-1796, Commander-in-Chief Bengal Presidency India 1797-1798, Governor-General India 1797-1798, and Commander-in-Chief India 1798-1801.
