Hulse, Samuel (1747 - 31 December 1836/1 January 1837)

2nd son of  the 2nd Baronet.

Ensign 1st Foot Guards 1761, Lieutenant & Captain 1st Foot Guards 1769,  Captain & Lieutenant Colonel 1st Foot Guards 1776,  2nd Major 1st Foot Guards 1789, 1st Major 1st Foot Guards 1792,  Regimental Lieutenant Colonel 1st Foot Guards 1794-1795,  Brevet Colonel 1782,  Major General 1793, Lieutenant General 1798, General 1803, Field Marshal 1830.

Service 1793-1815:  Flanders 1793-1795, on Home Staff 1795-1799 and in Ireland 1798-1799, Helder 1799, on Home Staff 1799-1802,  Lieutenant Governor Royal Hospital Chelsea 1806-1820

Later Service: Governor Royal Hospital Chelsea 1820-1837.

Knight 1821. GCH 1819.>

Colonel of the 56th Foot 1795-1797, 19th Foot 1797-1810, 62nd Regiment 1810-1837.
