Montresor, Henry Tucker (18 April 1767 - 10 March 1837)

Son of Captain John Montresor. Brother of Colonel John Montresor and General Sir Thomas Montresor. 

2nd Lieutenant 23rd Foot 1780,  Lieutenant 104th  Foot*  1783, Captain 104th Foot* 1783, Half-pay, Captain 18th Foot 1787, Half-pay, Captain 18th Foot 1788, Brevet Major 1794, Major 18th Foot 1794, Lieutenant Colonel 18th Foot 1795,  Brevet Colonel 1803,   Brigadier General on the Staff 1804,  Major General 1810, Lieutenant General 1814, General 1837.

*disbanded 1784.

Service 1793-1815: Corsica 1795 or 1796 commanding Anglo-Corsican Corps,  Elba 1796,  Egypt 1801, Malta 1801-1802, Elba 1802, Home Staff 1804, West Indies 1805-1808, on Home Staff 1808-1809, Walcheren 1809, Staff in Ireland 1810-1812, Sicily 1812-1814 and a division in Italy 1814 at Genoa, in Corsica 1814.

Knight 1818. KCB 1820. GCH 1817.

Colonel of the 11th Foot 1823-1837.
