Captain-General and Governor Dominica 1802-1805, on Home Staff
1805-1808, Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia 1808-1811 and commanded
a division at capture of Martinique 1809. Captain-General and Governor-in-Chief
British North America 1811-1814 and during War of 1812.
Created a Baronet 1805.
Colonel Commandant of the 5th Battalion 60th Foot 1806-1813, Colonel
of 76th Foot 1813-1814, 16th Foot 1814-1816.
