Procter, Henry (c.1763 - 31 October 1822)

Also as Henry Proctor.

Son of Doctor Richard Procter, Army Physician.

Ensign 43rd Foot 1781,  Lieutenant 43rd Foot 1781, Captain-Lieutenant 43rd Foot 1792, Captain 43rd Foot 1793, Major 43rd Foot 1795, Brevet Lieutenant Colonel 1800, Lieutenant Colonel 41st Foot 1800, Brevet Colonel 1810,  Brigadier General on the Staff 1813, Major General 1813.

Early service: North America 1781.

Service 1793-1815:  West Indies 1793-1800,  British North America  1802-1814 and commanded Right Division Upper Canada 1812-1813  in War of 1812. Faced a court-martial 1814 for Battle of the Thames 1813 and reprimanded.
