Riall, Phineas (15 December 1775 - 10 November 1850)

Ensign 61st Foot 1792, Lieutenant 92nd Foot* 1794,  Captain 92nd Foot* 1794,  Major 128th Foot+ 1794, Half pay,  Major 15th Foot 1804, Brevet Lieutenant Colonel 1800,  Lieutenant Colonel 69th Foot 1810, Brevet Colonel 1810,  Major General 1813, Lieutenant General 1825, General 1841.

*disbanded 1795.  +disbanded 1796.

Service 1793-1815: West Indies 1805 - 1810 and capture of Martinique 1809 and Guadeloupe 1810. On Home Staff 1813.  On staff of British North America 1813-1815 and  in War of 1812  wounded and captured Lundy’s Lane July 1814. Prisoner of war 1814-1815. On Home Staff 1815. Governor of Grenada 1816-1823.

Knight 1833.  KCH 1831.

Colonel of the 74th Foot 1835-1846, 15th Foot 1846-1850.
