Gore, Arthur (30 June 1773 - 8/9 March 1814)

Son of Major John Gore. Brother of Vice-Admiral Sir John Gore and Colonel Ralph Gore.

Ensign 73rd Foot 1788, Lieutenant 74th Foot 1792, Lieutenant 73rd Foot 1793, Captain-Lieutenant 73rd Foot 1799

Major Caithness  Highlanders* 1799, Major 40th Foot 1802, Lieutenant Colonel 5th Foot 1802, half-pay 1802, Lieutenant Colonel 33rd Foot 1802, Brevet Colonel 1811, Brigadier General on the continent 1813.

* disbanded 1802.

Service 1793-1815: India 1803-1811, Stralsund 1813, The Netherlands 1814. Killed in action at Bergen-op-Zoom 1814.
