1783, West Indies 1793-1797 served as an Adjutant
General 1795 and wounded. Raised the first regiment of British riflemen
for service 1800. Served on Home Staff 1805-1808.
Commanded brigade Spain
1808-1809 and at Corunna 1809. Died from effects of the campaign 1809.
Aide-de-Camp to the King 1798. Colonel Commandant
and Colonel of Rifle Corps [later numbered 95th Foot] 1800-1809.
