Son of 3rd Earl of Pomfret.

Guards 1794, Captain & Lieutenant-Colonel 3rd Foot Guards 1800,
Brevet Colonel 1810, Major General 1813, Lieutenant General 1825.
Early Service: Flanders 1793-1794, Ireland
1798, Helder 1799.
Peninsular War: Served with his regiment. Commanded Guards brigade
1st Division July 1812-March 1813. Left on promotion 1813.
Succeeded as 4th Earl of Pomfret 1830.
Placed on the Napoleon Series: November 2007
