wounded, Assistant Adjutant-General Home Staff 1803-1805, in Sicily
1806-1807, on Walcheren 1809.
Peninsular War: Commanded Cadiz 1811-1813.
Other service: Commanded a Guards Brigade and then
a division in The Netherlands 1813-1815. Commanded 1st Division Flanders
and wounded at Waterloo 1815. On Home Staff 1815-1819. Lieutenant Governor
Portsmouth 1819-1821.
KCB 1815. Colonel of 77th Foot 1815-1834,
40th Foot 1834-1837.
