Le Souvenir Napoléonienne Election Results
France's largest and most important Napoleonic Society has undergone a change of leadership. Based on his desire to move the Souvenir Napoléonienne forward, Prince Charles Napoleon decided to stand for election as president. On December 2, 1997, Prince Napoleon was elected president, and is now undertaking to lead the Society to reach its maximum goals and ambitions. He would also like to work toward uniting all of the Napoleonic Societies around the world in a unified effort to reach our common goals.
INS President Ben Weider and Executive Vice-President David Markham offer their most sincere congratulations to Prince Napoleon on his election as President, and pledge their complete support toward a program of complete cooperation between our two organizations. Our Director General for francophone countries, Prince Murat, is working closely with Prince Napoleon, and his energy will help us all reach our mutual goals.
There are currently numerous Napoleonic Societies around the world, including in Europe, Australia, and North America. Under Prince Napoleon's leadership, Le Souvenir Napoléonienne will undertake to expand and work on combined projects.
The INS is very proud to cooperate with this new leadership to help assure that the maximum accurate information concerning the Emperor Napoleon is spread worldwide. We hope to cooperate in the areas of tours, conferences, and publishing.
